Cabinet production workflow
- Create part and hardware data in cabinet design/CAM software.
- Nest and cut components, adding required face operations and labels.
- Apply edge banding according to panel orientation and edge code.
- Drill side/top/bottom connector features using the selected drilling route.
- Inspect dimensions, hole patterns, finish and assembly fit.

Cabinet-making CNC router questions
Can one CNC router make complete cabinet panels?
It can cut, route, groove and perform configured vertical drilling. Edge banding and many horizontal assembly holes are normally separate processes.
Which CNC router is best for custom cabinets?
An ATC nesting router is usually the more flexible choice when product designs and tool requirements change often. Confirm it with the actual cabinet library and post-processor.
Do I need automatic labeling?
Labeling becomes useful when many unique parts move from nesting to edge banding and drilling. It reduces sorting errors and connects the panel to downstream data.
How do I estimate cabinets per shift?
Run a representative order and include design release, loading, nesting, cutting, labeling, edge processing, drilling, handling and rework. Router cycle alone is not line output.
